User sees other Printers in Lotus Notes!

Some programms as Lotus Notes doesn't use the Micosoft API the get the Printers for the uses and displays insted even Printers where the user has no permissions.

To correct the Problem, ThinPrint has released a freeware tool called MyPrinterView

How do I set the Proxy Server for the Internet Explorer?

Set it in your Policy/Group Policy Object (GPO) or use the Internet Explorer Administration Kit. Simply use a registry file in the UsrLogon.Cmd to add the value for every user, therefore see

I want to change the file association but it's grayed out!

It's by design that the file association is grayed out when you run terminal services in Application Server Mode, for security reason.

To change the file association use the programs "assoc" and "ftype".
Here is an example script to open .raw files with notepad:

assoc .raw=RAW
ftype RAW=notepad.exe %%1

How can I disable te Windows X button in the upper right corner?

The only option in the moment is the installation of the AppScape Utility on the local Client. There is no option that you can set on the Server site to disable the Client close button on the upper right corner. I didn't tried it but you might be able to remove the X button with the resource Hacker

How do I synchronize PDA's with Microsoft Active Sync?

Officially Citrix supports PDA synchronization with Presentation Server 4.0 and ActiveSync 3.x (not with ActiveSync 4 or with previous of Presentation Server).  Also the following PDA's are NOT supported:
"Symbian operating system-based PDAs and Blackberry PDAs are not supported"

With previous version of Citrix Presentation Server use 3rd. party software like XTND Connect server.

Office file locked by user that is not using the file?

This is a problem with the office install key within the TS install hive (Shadow Key). If the values UserInitials and UserName are not set to NULL new users will not be ask at the first start of Office to type in their Username and Initials.
Check both valuse in:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Terminal Server\Install\Software\MICROSOFT\
Office.0\Common\UserInfo

where: Office 2000 = 9.0 | Office XP = 10.0 | Office 2003 = 11.0

Make sure every user has the right values in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office.0\Common\UserInfo

You can use a script to set the values automatically.

Office programs consumes a lot of CPU!

Most likely this is to to the Speech Recognition and Handwriting Recognition Features in Microsoft Office. Diabling/Unstalling solves the performance issues most times.

How can I create a outlook profile for every user?

There are a lot of Microsoft article already published on that topic, so make sure you review them. Best way is to configure outlook within the Office installation using the Office install wizard. Check out also the command line utility MapiGen.

 NOTE

When installing Lotus Notes 6.5x on a (MUI) none English OS system, Notes might launch only in English language! This is an issue with the MUI.DAT file that is either not there or has wrong entries.
It should be:

[Versions]
CoreVersion=Release 6.5
NotesWorkswith=Release 6.5
[MUI]
Languages=1
Language1=de

In addition you have to set the language in Notes or the notes.ini
